Seed of Hope

Hi Everyone,

We thought we would share with you one of our most successful projects: Seed of Hope

Issy, our Gestalt play therapist, has been seeing 32 children a week in Pietermaritzburg, SA, to help them resolve personal trauma. Some of them have witnessed major crimes or been abused. She is working in 4 Primary Schools, and is so much in demand that the program is being expanded, with more therapists being trained.

We met with the Deputy Principal of W.A. Lewitt Primary School, who said that everyone had noticed a difference in the children Issy has been working with. We knew Issy in her previous work, and during a chance conversation with one of our trustees, she shared how she saw a need for work of this kind to help local children. She told us of her dream to do this therapy, and we decided to fund and support her to do her training 4 years ago, and now continue to fund her now through local charity Mama Ntombi.’s Community Projects. She has now been practicing for 1-2 years and is a huge success story.

Well done and thank you to Issy – you are a true inspiration!
